hi, i’m Rosemary
An Arkansas native, I received a B.A. in English at Hendrix College before settling in Little Rock. Since then, I’ve worked in fashion marketing, event design, and magazine journalism, serving as editor-in-chief of Inviting Arkansas and At Home in Arkansas magazines. My commercial and editorial work has been featured across the United States and in Canada.
After landing what I thought was my dream job, I quickly realized that I’d been hustling toward a career that wasn’t the dream I thought it would be, so in September of 2013, I went full time with Rosemary Hallmark Creative.
Business ownership has its challenges, but it also has its rewards. For me, the biggest reward is helping small business owners tell their stories. Storytelling is at the heart of everything I do and love. As a small child, I was a voracious reader and writer. I journaled obsessively through my teenage years, and studied postmodern and contemporary American literature in college. As an adult, I continue to read as many books as possible, and love to write fiction in my free time.
What I’ve learned in the decade I’ve spent designing brands for clients is that every business has a story to tell, and getting to know someone, digging deep to learn their story, and figuring out exactly how to tell it, is the part of my job that excites me the most. I love being able to take my passion for the written word and combine it with nearly two decades of graphic design experience to build brands that tell great stories and look really good doing it.
When I’m not working, I’m either traveling or planning my next trip. I’m an obsessive Google mapper who is always looking for an excuse to spend a long weekend in New Orleans. A few of my favorite things include but are not limited to: tiki bars, book club, plants, a cold can of Fresca, Pride & Prejudice (book), Pride & Prejudice (movie, 2005), my husband Aaron who is much better at giving business advice than I am at taking it, and my cocker spaniel, Cosy.
that’s Cosy
It’s my mission to help small businesses create big impact brands. Let’s work together to design your ideal client and craft a brand that speaks to them.
