Frequently Asked Questions

CAN YOU UPDATE MY WORDPRESS SITE?

No.
Sorry! I build Squarespace websites exclusively. But I promise that if you decide to move forward with an all new, beautiful site hosted by Squarespace and designed by moi, you won’t be disappointed. I’m a Squarespace Circle member, which means my clients will get added perks such as longer trial periods, first dibs at trying out new Squarespace features, and 20% off your hosting fees for the first year.

CAN YOU MANAGE MY SOCIAL MEDIA ACCOUNTS?

No.
Again, sorry! Social media management can be a full-time job, and it’s not something I can juggle on top of my other services. If you’re not sure where to start, I would recommend setting up a VIP Studio Day where we discuss social media strategy, audit your social media accounts, and I create some templates that will keep your social posts in line with your branding. But as far as the day-to-day posting goes, you’ve got this. (And if you really don’t have the time or ability to DIY your social media, I know people who can help.)

WHAT’S THE BEST WAY TO GET AHOLD OF YOU?

Client communication should take place mostly via email. You can reach me by email Monday through Friday between the hours of 9am and 5pm. Because I value my clients’ and my own rest hours, I typically stay out of my inbox on the evenings and weekends. During the branding process, hopping on the phone or Google hangouts may be necessary to go over concepts or chat revisions. However, because my inbox acts as my “to-do” list, I strongly discourage clients from sending work-related questions or requests via text message or social media direct messages, as those are most likely to get lost in the fray.

HOW MUCH DO YOU CHARGE?

I get this question a lot, but there’s no simple answer because it always depends on the project. Fill out the contact form here and give me more details about your project, and I’ll be able to give you a price quote. Working with small businesses is at the heart of what I do, so I will always try to accommodate and be mindful of budgets.

WHAT ARE YOUR PAYMENT POLICIES AND METHODS?

In order to reserve a brand or website design slot, I require a 50% non-refundable deposit. When it’s time to begin your project, I’ll include a payment schedule in our contract. Usually, brand and website design projects are broken into two payments: the 50% deposit and the other 50% toward the end on the project - assuming everything has stayed on schedule. Projects with a timeline of longer than 4 weeks will be split into three payments: 50% non-refundable deposit, 25% due upon finalization of the brand board, and the final 25% due at the end of the project. I require payment in full before I supply final brand files or launch websites.

I accept payment via credit card, check, PayPal or Venmo. Payment is due within 15 days of receiving your invoice. A late fee of $100 will be charged every 7 days past the scheduled due date.
